Tell us a little about your yourself:
I'm a math major at the University of Washington, though I aspire to be a professional game composer. I do a bit of remixes here and there and I was delighted to get the invite to this site ^^ My favorite system is the SNES, which is still hooked up to my tv to this day.
If you want to hear some of my original compositions (I compose video game music and classical style music), as well as the site I post arrangements and remixes to first, you can see my website below. If you're wondering about the site itself, it's a furry thing; don't worry about it.
Sheet music available on request.
What instruments do you play?
I used to play french horn, not so much now. Trying to get good at piano.
What are your video game music influences?
Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy), of course =)
Also Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger) and Koji Kondo (Mario/Zelda).
What are your musical influences outside of video games?
Beethoven is the shit. Also a fan of Bach, Holst, Gershwin, and Chopin. Also my brother has a master's in composition, and he's helped me out quite a bit.
What are your favorite video games?
Chrono Trigger, FF6, and Secret of Mana are my top 3. My favorite Zelda is A Link to the Past, my favorite Mario is SMW... Can you tell I like the SNES? Among modern games, I really enjoyed the modern sequals (where applicable) of the games above too, also portal, but who didn't love portal? I guess you could say I'm a classic gamer. I turned 20 not too long ago, and on my last day as a teenager I played all the way through Chrono Trigger in one sitting.
What are your interests outside of video games?
Well, music, of course. I'm a math major too as I said. Other than that... uh... well women are pretty sexy, I suppose you could count them among my interests ;)
Also making people lose The Game.
