I'd like to team up with a good guitarist to complete a heavy metal cover of the Mako Reactor theme from FF VII. I'm fairly satisfied with what I've got so far but the second half could really do with a solo to spice things up (specifically, the bridge between the second verse and chorus). Wish I could perform it myself but my guitar skills aren't up to the task.
I'll upload the track on here (if Nacho accepts it, that is!), so if you think you can help the piece out please let me know. Obviously all credit will be shared, if you'd like to use it on your site, youtube channel, or whatever, feel free. |

I really enjoyed the cover you did. My brother can shred on guitar, what parts do you want a solo?

That'd be aweseome, thanks! Specifically the section between 2:25 and 2:37. It's a pretty short section so if your bro wanted to go wild and do more that's fine too.

Sounds good! I'll see what he can do. Did you just want him to play with a straight electric guitar with distortion and no other effects?

Yeah, clean would be best - unless the effect is integral to the solo (ie. it relies on a delay)

You know... I don't pretend to be a guitar God or anything, but I'd be happy to take a look and see what I can come up with.

Sorry for the delay Spoony, I had some personal issues this last week to take care of. I'm going to talk to my brother soon and see what we can do!

No prob's, Nacho, there's really no rush; I'll be away over Christmas and then I'm moving house so probably won't get to work on any music til January.
CabbitSD, that'd be awesome, thank you! It would be so cool to have two styles of solo for each half of the track.
Thanks again, guys!
